Week 12 Q

Over the last few months, I have learned a lot about myself and others, I have made great friendships that I hope will last. I have love working at Jittery Joes it has been a great expierence for me and has prepared me for lots. I really loved learning about how to keep a business going and going good. I have so many great memories working here that I cant list them all. Thank you so much for the opportunity, I deeply appreciate it.

Week 11 Q

I think I want to me a Cosmetologist in the future, I haven't completely decided on that, but that is one of my main focuses. Jittery Joes has made me more responsible and get a feel for the work atmosphere I will be joining. To get into a Cosmetology school you need to have a high school diploma, which is what I'm focusing on, and working to get. I might start working at a hair salon which would really give me a feel for that field.

Week19 Q

I think that my greatest achievement, was finishing my classes on time and getting pretty good grades, and I love the fact that I have fun at school, I don't dread it anymore. I really like the atmosphere in PLC it is laid back and a great learning environment for me. So i think the best decision I made was coming here.

Week 9 Q

Nothing at Jittery Joes has been hard or difficult, there are certain things I dislike doing like the dishes, but that is because I just hate doing dishes in general. Its not because there is a lot of them at Jittery Joes. I really wouldn't change anything, because it is already a lot easier then a real job. I really like working there, I want to get a real job at a Jittery Joes.

Week 8 Q

After getting my first job, I really realized the value of money and how quick it goes. I cut down on a lot of extra things that i was buying and only got what i needed. Money is hard earned and shouldest be spent on unnecessary items. I have learned a great deal on how the world works and how you need to conserve money because you never know if something important might come up where you will actually need the money.

Week 7 Q

I haven't had that many bad experiences at jittery Joes, just people complaining about the cup sizes and the prices, but I dont have any control over that. Also people just asking for more than what they paid for, which I tell them that this money goes into helping the school and that we need to make profit and that is why we dont give anything away.

Week six Q

Physically working at Jittery Joes has not effected me at all, I feel fine and as normal as can be. It is just like my other job, I do the work but have fun doing it, nothing really gets in my way. I love working there, it is fun even at the slow times and at the busy, I enjoy making the drinks and smoothies, I think its fun.

Week Five Q

Q.Has there been a time where you made an error either with money or dealing with a customer? Explain what happened and how you corrected it. What will you do differently next time?





A. Yes there has, I was doing the X report and we came up short. I had to recount a couple of times and look through the reciepts. I eventually found my error and had to correct it. Another time I gave a costmer wrong change and they didnt realize till after they walked away, they cam back and i had to correct my error and I gave them a free coffee stamp on their Jittery Joes card.

Week Four Q

Q.Do you have classmates asking you for free drinks or pastries? You aren't alone! Some of your peers will ask you this frequently, causing you to make an ethical decision. How have you handled it in the past? How will you handle it in the future?



A. I do get that sometimes from my peers, but I just tell them no that i will not give them free things. I wont because then the school is losing money and i dont think that is fair because they are nice enough to let us have a Jittery Joes and to be responsible. They trust students with this business and i will not make them distrust me.I will keep telling students no even if they beg every day, because i dotn thnk it is fair.

Week Three Q

Q.Talk about tasks that can be done when the coffee shop is slow. What types of things can you be working on to still be a productive worker?


A. There are amny things to do around Jittery Joes when it is slow, I mainly look for things we are running low on, and I go to the stock room and get the things we need. Also I look for pretty ways to set up what we offer, so that it looks more appealing. We also clean and make sure everything is sanitary, so we arent giving unsanitary foods and drinks. Also just thinking of new ways to sell things and make more money.

Week Two Q

Q.We are already beginning to talk about customer service. Talk about a positive customer service experience you have had working at Jittery Joe's.


A. I have had many positive costomer experiences already at Jittery Joes, my first one was my first time making a latte. I started making it and I messed up and the costomer was very polite and wasnt mad. I fixed my mistake quickly and had it finished just a few minutes later. But the person i was making it for was very nice about me messing up and wasnt mad at all. I really appericiated their curtisy and appoligized for messing up. But now i have the hang of workign at Jittery Joes and very rarley mess up.

Week One Q

Is working at Jittery Joe's your first experience with work? If not, what skills from other jobs are you implementing at the coffee shop? If it is, what skills are you learning that you will take with you to future jobs?


Yes, working here at the Jittery Joes in PLC is my first job experience. I am learning how to deal with all kinds of people and control my temper. I am also learning how to keep the prices right so taht we are gaining money and not losing any. Also how to work effiecently but also making sure everything is clean. I am getting many skills that I will need to get a better job in the real world, I think that working here will better prepare me for a different job that I will be getting soon. I'm very glad that I got picked to work here.
